New Practical Chinese Reader

Published by the Beijing Language and Culture University Press (BLCUP), The New Practical Chinese Reader (新买用汉语课本) is a textbook series commonly used in classes that teach Chinese to non-native speakers. It consists of six volumes; the first four ones are geared toward beginners and, the last two, toward intermediate learners.
Each volume is composed of:
- The main course: Textbook + Audio CDs;
- The exercises: Workbook + Audio CD + Instructor's Manual.
There are bilingual annotations available—each one sold separately—in English, Japanese, Spanish, German, Russian, Korean and a few other languages. There are also CD-ROM versions available, including a Japanese edition.
